From Richard Gray at Deceased Online (www.deceasedonline.com):
We're going to be at least doubling the database size of Deceased Online during 2013 and we'll be announcing some exciting news during February and March on many new and important additions.
In the immediate future, over the Christmas/New Year period, we've been working on the headstone collections for Scotland and we've just completed data for a total of 41 burial sites (cemeteries and churchyards) throughout Fife in East Scotland and these comprise nearly 80,000 names with the records dating back to 1635. The records comprise photographs of headstones and memorials together with the digitized carefully transcribed inscriptions from all. We now have nearly 1.2 million burial records in Scotland on the Deceased Online website.
(With thanks to Richard)
