Scottish Local History Forum conference report

Although I am a member of the Scottish Local History Forum (www.slhf.org), I was unfortunately unable to attend its conference last Friday in Perth entitled For Reliefe of the Pure and Impotent, as I am still getting over a hospital operation I had last Monday in Greenock. However, Edinburgh based genealogist Kirsty Wilkinson was thankfully in attendance, and has produced a great summary of the day's proceedings on her blog at http://professionaldescendant.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/scottish-local-history-forum-conference.html.

Just to add - one of the great attractions of the Forum is its superb periodical Scottish Local History. Well worth the membership fee for that alone!

(With thanks to Kirsty)
