Worcester's new Hive

With thanks to Beryl Evans at the Federation of Family History Societies (www.ffhs.org.uk) and Rob White at Worcestershire Record Office for the following:

Big changes are ongoing in Worcester, where there used to be two repositories (County Hall Record Office and Worcestershire History Centre) open to the public. Both are currently closed pending the move to the The Hive in July 2012. The Hive is a brand new purpose-built library and history centre in the centre of Worcester and will house:-
  • Both public branches of the Worcestershire Record Office
  • Worcester City Library and the University of Worcester Library
  • Worcestershire Historic Environment and Archaeology Service (WHEAS)
  • The Worcestershire Hub

More details can be seen at:-
